Dr Wagdi Emile, Internist and Specialist
Gastroenterologist, was employed by the Department of
Health and Medical Service, Rashid Hospital, since 1983
after working in the UK for 4 years. As one of the
founders of the Endoscopy unit, he dealt with all sorts
of Digestive Diseases and performed about 12,000 Upper
Diagnostic & Therapeutic G.I Endoscopies & about 4000
Diagnostic & Therapeutic Colonoscopies in addition to
dealing with all other General Internal Medical cases.
He is also involved in teaching the Medical students of
Dubai Medical School for Girls as a lecturer for the
last 15 years.
Dr Wagdi was elected as the President of Emirates
Gastroenterology Society since April 2007 and is
responsible for organizing meetings and workshops for
the Gastroenterologists in the UAE.
